Burg Hohen Neuffen Restaurant in Neuffen

Very nice castle (had no chance to see it from the inside due to corona) in general very nice area with many great viewpoints, is good for hiking and walking. Many paragliders to see which make the sight even more spectacular.

The entrance to the castle is currently closed. Unfortunately, not all visitors adhere to it. There are still very nice hiking trails around Hohenneuffen Castle with a view of the beautiful landscape.

Nice castle, good paths, delicious food, ... I can only recommend it, whether on foot or by bike.

Really a great castle ruin. The ascent from the parking lot is nice and varied, especially when it comes to the increase. Also, it's worth noting that there are some narrower spots. Interesting information, especially during the Corona period. The view, once you've made it, is phenomenal! Absolutely worth seeing. From my point of view, it can be recommended without reservation. Have fun with the view.

Always worth a visit. Especially during corona times! Ideally with one of the beautiful circular walks around it. Of course you are not alone here on Sundays .... nice that the kiosk is also open during Corona, hopefully it stays that way! Toilets are also open. Attention: Don't forget your mask, mask compulsory!

Great castle from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view in good weather. The steep climb is definitely worth the effort. The beer garden in the courtyard is nice and large and invites you to linger.

Restaurant was closed and the hill is VERY steep but it's a beautiful old castle.

Together with kids we are very often there and in any session and weather you will completely love time spent there!

It's a shame about the weather, but you can't choose that. Otherwise always worth a visit, especially because of the great view. A nature experience for children too. Mostly accessible without barriers. Food and drinks are also well taken care of ... and who can set no limits for a long hike

After my last visit about 15 years ago, a lot has happened at the castle. Today was a nice end to the hike on the Swabian Alb

Since the weather was not so good old, the Hohenneuffen was not so crowded. However, no people with face masks. We'd be looked at like aliens. But we're used to it and don't care anymore. Otherwise again a nice trip.

Note: There is a restaurant at the top. If you plan to eat or get a drink there, you can drive all the way to the top. Otherwise, it's a 7 to 12 minute uphill hike from the public parking lot. It is extremely beautiful, and the view is amazing. It's about 4km of 17٪ grade climb in a car.

A great day trip destination. Nice castle, good gastronomy, fast service. A fascinating view. Great, informative birds of prey demonstration. Everything perfect!

We visit the castle named HOHENNEUFFEN. It has an altitude of 743 meters. The nature of this region is very beautiful. A little further down are cities with caves and waterfalls. There are certain routes preferred by the tourists traveling by caravan, especially in the cities following these mountains. The people of this region, including Stuttgart, are a separate German race called the şivebiş. One of the striking features of dialects is that they are extremely hardworking and planned. It is an extremely productive and rich region that has produced world-class brands such as Mersedes- Bosch- Porsche-SAP, Kark Zzeiß, Hugo Boss. In this part of the castle, there is a show organized by the birds of prey association. In other words, they are showing birds such as falcon, eagle, hawk, hawk in this castle. And they fly over the Castle. There are dungeons at the bottom of the castle ... you must tour it

Cool place to visit. Awesome courtyard in the interior with a restaurant and biergarten.

Super nice, very well-kept area. Good beer garden. And an amazing view! Not far to walk from the hiking car park. Paths very well paved and maintained.

At the beginning there is an incline, but in the end it gets even harder. The path is easy to walk, one section comes with somewhat coarser gravel. Once at the top a wonderful view, folding umbrella planes can be observed. There is a kiosk and many seating options.

Love history and enjoy exploring place like this. Beautiful day and a beautiful hike

Very easy ascent, the castle is also suitable for wheelchair users! Cafe in the castle courtyard, with a terrace on the outer wall, and a restaurant! Great view, beautifully preserved and restored castle ruins!

Wonderful panoramic views, easy access, very good facilities. Highly recommended for the whole family.

Beautiful, magnificent view, and although it has been abandoned for hundreds of years and used as a quarry for materials, impressive (reclaimed) walls still remain. There is almost nothing left of the original habitable structures, only a part that has become offices are closed to the public, but I don't think there is anything left in terms of interior furnishings or original paintings. Keep, barracks, various more delicate internal constructions have dissolved over time. Battlements and walkways have almost completely disappeared, except for a part above the Frederician bastions. However well rearranged as accessibility and almost all accessible by wheelchairs. The square is transformed into a restaurant bar. Still very beautiful, and still communicates war magnificence.

Great view. There is a restaurant in the castle. Quite well attended and in good shape for a "ruin".

Nice excursion destination with short or longer tours to the destination. The reward is a wonderful view. We watched the falconry demonstration and although I am not a fan of birds I have to admit it was good and informative. The beer garden is also nice, the eaten Maultaschen with potato salad were delicious, but also higher than the price.

Beautiful castle ruins that have been well preserved or restored. Good restaurant with a huge beer garden in a wonderful atmosphere and a corresponding view. Top ambience also for celebrations.

Landmark with excellent facilities and great views,even to the adjacent Teck castle. Go get medieval in the south of Stuttgart.

Hohenneuffen has such a tremendous view!! You just have to get up there to enjoy and appreciate the fantastic panorama of the area. If you are into hiking there a various routes to the Burg. You can also take the car up to the Burg if you are visiting the restaurant! I really recommend you to visit!!

A castle where one can still see the defensive structures of the past. Very interesting.

Another great stop in the Schwäbischen Alb of southern Germany. Can drive up directly, but it's much more interesting to hike up instead. There's even a thermal bad on the Beuren side (As a starting/finishing point)

Castle is a sight to behold. Reminds you of medieval times. Fantastic view of the land and city for miles.

The restaurant has good food.

Beautiful castle.....our son and daughter in law were married there. Delicious food. Returned 2 years later to eat at the restaurant. Wonderful food and atmosphere. Nice walk up to the castle. Great memories.

Great hiking all around the castle. The biergarten at the top in the castle is great for after a hike there. The views are amazing. Also, the restaurant here is very nice. I can't perfectly explain why but this is one of my favorite spots around the Stuttgart area.

Just brilliant! The view, the food, the ambient, the history! If you're restaurant visitors I assume you're even allowed to dive with the car to the castle itself. However the road is steep and the tunnels are narrow. And in fact walking up worth it. No parking or entry fee. In good weather constitutions the vision distance is up to 160km. This place and surroundings are supposed to be the origin of kelt folk Highly recommend.

It is such a lovely place to visit. The view from the top is amazing.

Quit impressive view and an spectacular falconer show with up to four birds of prey parallel in the air. Really nice for small and big kids. Short walk from the parking lot which is possible with a stroller.
